We spent a few days in Hoi An during our trip in Vietnam. Charming place, with a lovely old town, authentic villages around the city center, beaches a few km away.
If you stay in Hoi An, here are some places we recommend :
–Morning Glory or Mermaid Restaurant : they are both restaurants opened by Ms Vy, and very good. Morning Glory is bigger and a bit more expensive (but still cheap compared to prices in France). They are touristic and famous restaurant, but worth it.
-Cooking class with Baby mustard in Tra Que village : the chef is so cute and so nice ! We had a great time visiting the vegetable village and learning how to cook My Quang (soup), Spring Rolls and Beef in a banana leaf.
– Banh Mi : street food is everywhere in Vietnam. Some of them are famous for their banh mi (vietnamese sandwich) and the one from Madam Kanh aka The Banh Mi Queen was indeed really good. We did had another one which was lighter but sooo delicious, but the lady is like a legend, because the day after, she just disappeared ! (and we don’t remember the address…)
– Good Morning Hoi An blog : if you speak French and staying some days in Hoi An, this blog gives you everything you need to know about the city (how much for a tailored suit ? where to eat … ?)
