Our last trip was in December 2014 in Cape Town. It was the first time there for David, who had some prejudices (more or less true) about South Africa (“naah I don’t wanna go there, it’s too dangerous !”), a second time for me (my first trip there was more than 15 years ago).

We had only few days off. As Cape Town is only a 6 hours flight from Reunion (Reunion-Johannesburg : 4hours + Johannesburg-Cape Town : 2hours), it was a good destination to get some fresh air !

If you are like us, you are trying to find everywhere the perfect itinerary to enjoy at best these few days. By the way, thank you Julie and her great blog (http://www.carnets-de-traverse.com). So here is what we have planned :

Green point 19

Cape Town in 7 days :

Day 1 : We arrived in the late afternoon and got our rental car at the airport.
Day 2 : Visited Camps Bay in the morning, had lunch at the Waterfront. In the afternoon, we took the cable car to Table Mountain.
Day 3 : Neighbourgoods market : opened on Saturdays only, do not miss it ! In the afternoon : walk in the Green point park
Day 4 : Kirstenbosch market and Botanical Garden
Day 5 : The entire day to the Cape of Good hope . Wonderful landscapes on the road.
Day 6 : Wine route to Stellenbosch. We visited the Delaire Graff winery.  Late afternoon : view of the city from Signal hill
Day 7 : Visit of West Coast National Park
Day 8 : Departure

We didn’t have enough time to get to Robben Island (the prison where Nelson Mandela was) and the Gardens route.

Of course, we will write some detailed posts about the places we loved ! So stay tuned !
